This page preserves historical announcements about Avida-ED.

Archived updates belong here instead of the main teaching pathways.

Archive status

  • Earlier announcements and release notes remain available for reference.
  • Time-sensitive guidance belongs in current support or curriculum pages.
  • Historical milestones remain discoverable without dominating the main teaching workflow.

What kinds of items belong here

The legacy site used this section for items such as:

  • workshop and conference announcements
  • project milestones and release-era notes
  • historical news about outreach, awards, and presentations

Those materials remain useful for project history, but they should not be the main route for a student trying to launch the app or an instructor trying to prepare a lesson.

Where current readers should usually go instead

Migration note

When older news items are reviewed, each should either:

  • remain here as archival context
  • be condensed into a historical summary page
  • be replaced by a current support or curriculum page if the information is still operationally important
